About the event

Back by popular demand! After a successful Funny Women Awards season, we're back at working on developing next year's entrants performance skills! We’re running our one-week fast-track Comedy Crash Courses featuring an hour of expert coaching and guidance a day and a showcase with feedback on Friday.

Facilitated by four industry experts, this course provides tailored tips and advice to help you refine your performance style mentally and physically, develop and construct material and refine your comedic skills for the new world order online.

Lynne Parker is the award-winning producer who created Funny Women In 2002. Lynne will begin the week with a workshop that connects you, builds your confidence and kick starts your creative brain into action.

Logan Murray the Comedy Guru, acknowledged as one of the best Comedy tutors in the country, will spot us through some comedy exercises to help us let off a little steam.

Anna Morris award-winning character comedian, writer and actress, who’s written five one-woman character comedy shows which have received critical acclaim, will lead you through exercises to help you find comical characters, and shape them into monologues and sketches.

Monica Gaga a British-born black African queer improviser, facilitator, host, performer and producer. She trained in Community Theatre at East 15 Acting School, and her boundless love for improv stems from time spent at Second City in Chicago. She'll lead you through improv exercises aimed at improving your performance.

Daily workshops are held on Zoom, from 12.00pm to 1.00pm Monday to Thursday and recorded should you miss a day.

The week culminates with a live online showcase where you'll receive invaluable feedback from the facilitators and your peers. This is split into two parts with an hour interval on Friday 23rd October 11.00am to 12.00pm & 1.00pm to 2.00pm.
